The Masters-five points to take away with you!

1)As a European viewer can I appeal to the powers that be at the Beeb to get in tune with the viewing audience who cringe everytime "goody two shoes" Linaker hits the screen and makes a somewhat pathetic attempt to "compere" this great golf event.
I speak for a wide cross section of golfers whose opinions on Linakers lamentable efforts range from at best "purile" at worst "crap". Come on Beeb bosses he was rubbish last year and more of the same this year.Give us a break and dont go for a three-timer in 2008! However on the plus side you have proved how clever you were in employing Steve Ryder, pre -Linaker!!

2) On a similiar subject didn't everyone notice how non of the players enjoyed their post game interviews? I suspect it wasn't necessarily to do with their high scoring but more the interviewer!
Personally I think she is an excellent journalist but talk about a square peg in a round hole!!
Could it be that non of the Beebs executives watch these performances? (Thats the only conclusion that makes sense)-if thats the case maybe they should be sacked first.
3)This was one of the best Masters in living memory. The difficult course and conditions produced high scores(which clown commentator said what the galleries want to see is loads of birdies and eagles. Absolute bollocks.What we want to see is birdies and eagles when they really matter and are hard to come by-not when even my Aunty Mary can get them!! )
4) So what did we learn from the 2007 Masters-That for a good competition the course needs to be set up tough(notwithstanding the whingers),that we have some good young European talent knocking on Butlers Cabin door, that good ex pro footballers(and keen golfers.or even pro-golfers) and quality general topic(female) journalists do not necessarily make good golf commentators,that Tiger is fallible(and even spits!-heavens to Mrs Betsie!!!) and that god can influence 15ft putts!!(though come on Zak-enjoy your faith but keep it more private-even though it was a speech on the Sabbath)
5)Strictly for gamblers-the betting in running was great fun -even for "£1ew" Naked Golfer stakes. You wouldn't believe some of the fluctuations and the early prices(incidentally Eurobet consistently offered significantly better odds than William Hills) and your truly "got out of jail" on the last day with 25-1 about the winner!(available prior to start of final round) you'are right Zak there is a God after all!!
