Bernard Langer has narrowly failed to sink last put of matches on 18th after a valiant attempt to win his match against Hale Irwin.Langer is understandably distraught.
Afterwards, the European fans in the Patrons tent are downing ale to drown their sorrows and conducting singsongs(the yanks are totally confused as to why we are so happy) in comes Woosie et al to lead the chorus.All the fans chant for Langer, again and again. Langer carried in shoulder high like a conquering hero to tumultuous applause from the fans. Yanks now totally confused. How do you explain sportmanship,humanity etc to colonials! My eyes still dampen and a lump comes to my throat every time I recall this "Magic Moment"
